Over 300,000 people bid farewell to one of Australia’s leading bands, Powderfinger, earlier this year as the band traveled the country for their most extensive tour of Australia ever, which was also their last. The curtain came down for the final time, fittingly where it all began nearly two decades ago, in the band’s hometown of Brisbane.

Sunsets Farewell Tour DVD was released so this tour and it's timeless moments for fans shall radiate on and like so many Powderfinger releases before it, the Sunsets Farewell Tour DVD was flooded with accolades by industry and the rock press.

It debuted at #1 on the ARIA Music DVD Chart and became the highest selling music DVD debut this year, beating the likes of Michael Jackson and U2. Within a week Sunsets Farewell Tour DVD was certified 4 X Platinum.

Powderfinger’s Sunsets Farewell Tour DVD is a double disc DVD which feature a full live concert almost two hours long covering the band’s vast array of greatest hits spanning over their extensive career, plus a documentary of the band on the road of their final tour and looking back at their extraordinary achievements. It is also available on Blue Ray (one disc).
