Sex And The City Sexy Knickers

The Sex & the City branded products have begun rolling out, we just got an email about the Cosabella for Sex & the City ‘cutie/bootie’ thong set – just in time for the lead into the release of the Sex & The City 2 movie. These four g-strings will set you back $69 for the set of four and each colour is chose to tie in with all four characters. Only I wouldn’t have thought that Samantha would wear underwear, Carrie would probably sport granny panties on since they’re random and kooky, Miranda would be in cotton panties and Charlotte… what’s Upper-East-Side-Jew?

If you’re still a Sex & the City fanatic this thong set hits the HBO store in New York City and online in April.

Louis Vuitton sues Hyundai over monogramed basketball

We all know Louis Vuitton don’t take counterfeiting lightly, but what if a design looks similar but isn’t the LV monogram logo? Same result. Louis Vuitton filed a law suit against South Korea based Hyundai Motors claiming the logo basketball (pictured above left) featured in one of their Super Bowl XLIV ads was all to similar to Louis Vuitton’s trademarked Toile Monogram (pictured above right).

The Hyundai Super Bowl XLIV television commecial for their Sonata car features a voice over which talks about “making luxury available to everyone” and six men appear for a few seconds playing basketball with the offending X O monogram ball. Hyundai are rejecting the claims that they attempted to mimic Louis Vuitton’s logo, releasing a statement to say “Hyundai Motors does not see any merit in the claims. The advertisement is a humorous parody and nothing more.”

A humorous parody? Louis Vuitton will not like that. But it is a fair call with the Hyundai commercial also featuring chandeliers hanging from lamp posts and men in a food hall eating lobsters, policemen snacking on caviar and over sized boats in driveways. They just made the wrong choice when it came to covering a basketball in a designer-inspired logo.

According to the New York Post, Vuitton’s law suit filed in the Manhattan federal court seeks unspecified damages for “unauthorized use” of its trademarked symbol which “tarnishing their inestimable value through impermissible association with products of inferior quality.”

“Hyundai’s conduct has caused and will likely continue to cause confusion, mistake, and deception among the general consuming public as to the origin and quality of its products advertised in the offending commercial,” the suit said.

Louis Vuitton also want to know how much profit Hyundai made from the 30-second ad, as well as all copies of the “offending commercial” to be destroyed.

Tattoo’s have never really been fashionable (even though Marc Jacobs is covered in quite a number of them) but Chanel are about to singlehandedly change it all with the release of Chanel tattoo transfers in March.

As seen on their spring/summer 2010 runway in September, the tattoo’s were seen wrapped around models legs in garter/body jewelery style. Around a hundred bucks will get you a set of 55 individual Les Trompe L’œil de Chanel tattoo’s from March 1 (they are listed for sale at 49 pounds in the UK) It’s cheaper than getting a real tattoo and it’s Chanel… but will you be queuing up for your own set?

Emma Watson Gets Potty Over Burberry

How beautiful can one family be? Harry Potter star Emma Watson is back as the face of Burberry Prorsum’s Spring/Summer 2010 advertising campaign, joined by her younger brother Alex Watson and model/muscian George Craig. The rather simplistic campaign (which seems to be a trend this S/S 2010 ad campaign season) hasn’t garnered many fans on the popular fashion forums The Fashion Spot with many wishing for the return of the likes of Kate Moss, Lily Donaldson or Agyness Deyn.

Photographed by Mario Testino, it is no surprise he chose his current favourite male model, Craig, to star alongside the Watson siblings with Alex seemingly a budding model at 16 years of age – he’s signed up with Storm Models in Britian and has also guest starred in Harry Potter The Order of the Phoenix.
