In yet another triumph for the casting gurus over at Glee, sources confirm to me exclusively that SNL vet and USA Kath And Kim star, Molly Shannon is joining the ensemble as a nemesis to Jane Lynch’s Sue.
Wait, it gets better.
Her character, Brenda Castle, is described as the busty 45-year-old new astronomy teacher and badminton coach at McKinley High School who is both an alcoholic and a pill-popper.
“She becomes Sue’s enemy,” says a Glee insider.
The role is recurring and Shannon’s first episode is slated to air in the USA in May. Aus usual, aussies will have to wait a hell of a lot longer til it comes to our screens.
