Ricki Lee Coulter Signs With EMI

Singer, musician, songwriter, model, performer, radio personality, magazine cover girl and television personality - Ricki-Lee Coulter needs no introduction. Especially to the pop world. But today, the singer took another huge step in her career, signing with major label, EMI.

“I’m SO honoured to be signed to a record label that is internationally renowned for being about quality not quantity - and all about the music. The vision, the passion, the understanding, the drive, and the excitement from every person within the EMI family, makes me not only feel at home but extremely supported as an artist.”

‘Raining Diamonds’ - her first major single release since 2009, was co-written with Billy Mann (Pink, Kelly Rowland, Robyn and The Veronica’s) and BOYBLUE who also produced the track.  Billy Mann personally invited Ricki-Lee to his recording studio at his home in New York where they spent a week working on songs for her new album, including 'Raining Diamonds'.

Being very selective about who she wanted to work with, Ricki-Lee was thrilled and said, “I have so much respect for Billy’s work and his talent, and he doesn’t just write with anyone because he is in a league of his own – so to have him sitting across from me and getting into my head the same way he would with someone like Pink – it was so surreal.  Working with him is like nothing I have ever experienced. He brought things out of me musically and emotionally that nobody ever has."

EMI Music Australia Chairman, Mark Poston proudly says, ‘We’re all massive believers in Ricki-Lee as an artist.  It’s a very exciting signing for the company and I can’t wait for fans of great pop and dance to hear how strong  ‘Raining Diamonds’ and her new music is’.

‘Raining Diamonds’ is close to Ricki-Lee’s heart as she explains the song’s meaning, “Raining Diamonds is all about knowing your value and not settling for less than what you believe you are worth and I feel like I am living proof of that.  If you believe in something you can have it. You just have to back yourself 100% percent and don’t rest until you get there. I feel like I’m more in touch with myself than I ever have been and that has helped me paint a clear picture in my mind of what I want and helped me get there.”

Robert Manser

Rob loves his boy bands and has worked with most of them. When it became too hard to work in Australia with the media - he started Giving a voice to the pop culture scene for over 16 years (check dates depending on when you read this.) In his other life he is a creative director, film maker, photographer and designer... but pop is his one true love. Along with imaginary boyfriends, Nick Lachey and Channing Tatum  (his husband approves).
