POPrepublic.tv contacted Janet's Australian tour publicist, and was advised "It is with regret that Dainty Group announces that tonight's Janet Jackson Number Ones: Up Close and Personal concert, at the Sydney Opera House, cannot proceed.
Doctors have ordered Miss Jackson to undertake vocal rest for the next 2 days, so she can complete the 3rd and final show of her Australian tour, this Tuesday night at the Sydney Opera House.
Unfortunately, there will not be a replacement concert scheduled, so all patrons will receive a full refund at the Sydney Opera House Box office tonight or from the point of purchase.
Please contact the Sydney Opera House Box Office on 02 9250 7777 for refund information."

It's not POPrepublic.tv's first cancellation issue with the artist either. We flew to New York to review her 2008 'Rock Witchu Tour' at Madison Square Garden, only to find the show being postponed on the day due to "severe vertigo". We were given the option to review her New Jersey show, which went ahead days later - complete with Janet performing a ballad on a 12 foot high podium. Unfortunately 12 dates of that 28 date tour were cancelled, with further dates postponed.
Sadly, Australian fans have not had the opportunity to see Janet perform in the country since 1998's 'Velvet Rope' tour. As the official statement explains, this latest cancelled date will not be rescheduled.
For those who missed out on tonights show, check out POPrepublic.tv's photo gallery from last nights Sydney show - it was truly amazing.
