Pop-country sensation Steve Grand and international superstars The Veronicas headlined the iconic Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras PARTY last night to a riotous response.
The normally country heartthrob, Steve Grand took to the stage in a very sexy locker room get up, making over 15,000 party goers drool whilst the Veronicas replicated their iconic ARIA's performance in full body glitter and latex outfits.
Unfortunately, initial headliners, Teagan and Sarah pulled out due to illness.
The shows at mardi gras have become iconic, with many performers over the years surprising party-goers, like Nick Jonas, Olivia Newton-John, Jimmy Barnes, Human Nature, Bardot, Boy George, Cyndi Lauper, Tina Arena, Delta Goodrem, and many others.
Next year is the 40th anniversary of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras... so we recommend you book tickets to the after party as soon as they go on sale - as they probably won't announce who is performing - and you KNOW it's going to be huge for this kind of anniversary.

In his other life he is a creative director, film maker, photographer and designer... but pop is his one true love.
