The lucious, layered instrumentation and melodic sound of Seabellies is captured beautifully throughout their debut album ‘By Limbo Lake’ - released on August 20. The long awaited album is already drawing critical acclaim from the likes of Rolling Stone (‘bustling, widescreen indie rock’) and jmag (‘a harbinger of brilliant things to come’) - and will be heard live during September and October when the band play their headline tour across Australia. This Novocastrian 6 piece are set to become one of the country’s most exciting musical exports.
The tour begins in Sydney on September 24 and winds south down the coast to Melbourne before heading back up to Brisbane and then across to Adelaide – taking in Wollongong and Newcastle along the way with very special guests Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire!.
‘By Limbo Lake’ has seen the release of two singles – iTunes recent ‘Single of the Week’ ‘Young Cubs’, and the current single ‘Trans ending’. With ‘Trans ending’ just recently serviced to radio, keep a lookout for the eye catching video - featuring amongst other things an underwater montage and a burning caravan. The video for ‘Trans ending’ is serviced to TV next week.
